From 21 to 23 September, OPTOKON exhibited at ECOC 2026 in Málaga, Spain, one of the most important gatherings in the optical communications calendar.

Over three days, we presented our fiber optic connectivity portfolio, test equipment, and cabling solutions, with a particular focus on the requirements of data centres and the infrastructure supporting AI scaling. As demands for speed and data capacity continue to grow, the role of reliable, high-performance optical infrastructure becomes increasingly central, and this was reflected in many of the conversations we had throughout the event.

Our team was joined by representatives from our Spain office, which allowed us to connect with visitors on both a local and international level throughout the exhibition. ECOC gave us the opportunity to meet new contacts and reconnect with existing partners and customers, strengthening relationships built over many years while exploring new ways to contribute to a market that continues to evolve at pace. The discussions around optical communications, data centre infrastructure, and AI-driven capacity demands were a valuable reminder of how quickly this sector is moving.
