OPTOKON delivers complete tactical communications, C5ISR and edge-system capabilities for environments where reliable connectivity, local data processing and operational coordination are essential.
Rather than supplying separate network devices, cable assemblies or computing platforms, we bring the required technologies together into one integrated system. The solution can be configured around the customer’s mission, existing platforms, operating environment, deployment requirements and future expansion plans.
From fixed command facilities to mobile command posts, vehicles, shelters and remote sites, OPTOKON provides the connectivity, computing, infrastructure and integration needed to make the system operational.
A tactical communications and edge system can include every layer required for dependable operation:
The final configuration is not defined by a fixed product package. It is built around the operational task the system must perform.

C5ISR provides the technology foundation for command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
OPTOKON can integrate the communication, computing and connectivity layers that allow information to move securely and reliably between command posts, vehicles, personnel, sensors, cameras and external systems. The system architecture can be adapted to fixed, mobile and rapidly deployable environments.
This includes the integration of tactical networking equipment, edge servers, local storage,
communication gateways, fibre-optic links, rugged operator terminals and supporting power infrastructure. Each element is configured to work as part of one controlled operational environment.
Built on the C5ISR technology foundation, a Battle Management System provides the operational interface through which users can view, share and coordinate mission-relevant information.
A tailored BMS environment can provide a common operational picture, map-based situational awareness, position and status reporting, tactical messaging, mission coordination and information exchange between command levels and field elements.
OPTOKON can deliver the complete environment around the BMS application: operator workstations, rugged displays, edge-computing hardware, local data storage, tactical networks, communication interfaces, connectivity, power distribution and physical integration.
This ensures that the BMS is not delivered as isolated software, but as a functioning command-and-control capability ready for its intended operational environment.

Reliable tactical communications depend on a network that can connect different users, platforms and systems while remaining manageable in demanding conditions.
OPTOKON can provide the network architecture, rugged active equipment, fibre-optic and copper connectivity, gateway interfaces and physical infrastructure required to create resilient communication paths. The system can support local networks within a vehicle or command post, links between multiple operational locations, and connections to external communication or information systems.
Network configuration is prepared around the project’s required interfaces, user roles, available communication paths and operational priorities. This gives the customer a practical and documented communication environment rather than a collection of independently configured devices.
In many tactical environments, access to central infrastructure may be limited, delayed or unavailable. Edge computing brings processing, storage and applications closer to the point of operation.
OPTOKON can integrate rugged edge servers, local storage and computing platforms into the tactical system. These can support local data processing, information distribution, mission applications, sensor-data handling and temporary command-and-control functions.
By processing relevant information closer to users and platforms, the system can reduce dependence on external connectivity and maintain operational capability in remote, mobile or disrupted environments.

Tactical systems must be practical to transport, install, operate and maintain.
OPTOKON can configure communication and edge infrastructure for vehicles, shelters, containers, mobile command posts, temporary operations centres and remote sites. The solution can include racks, protected enclosures, cable management, power distribution, operator workstations, displays, edge servers, network equipment and rugged interconnect systems.
The physical design is considered alongside the digital architecture. Equipment layout, cable
routing, available installation space, access for service, transport conditions and deployment time are addressed as part of the integrated project.
The value of a tactical system lies in the way its elements work together.
OPTOKON supports the configuration and integration of hardware, connectivity, network equipment, edge-computing platforms, external interfaces and BMS or C5ISR applications into one coherent environment. This includes interface definition, system configuration, cable and equipment integration, technical documentation, functional verification and preparation for deployment.
The customer receives a system with clearly defined architecture, configured components and controlled interfaces—not a set of products that still requires separate integration.

Before deployment, every system must be checked against its intended operational requirements.
OPTOKON can support prototype preparation, first-article system configuration, functional verification, optical measurement, inspection, testing, documentation and final commissioning. Where required, the solution can be connected to OPTOKON testing, calibration and lifecycle services.
Following delivery, OPTOKON can support modifications, replacement requirements, manu-
facturing continuity, technical documentation, maintenance and future system expansion. This helps ensure that the capability remains supportable as platforms, interfaces and operational requirements evolve.
Whether the project requires a complete environment, OPTOKON can bring the required technologies together into one integrated and supportable capability.
