CABLEXX 2026 in Cairo, Egypt, took place on 26 and 27 October, and we’re heading home with plenty of good conversations behind us.

Over the two days, our team from OPTOKON Egypt welcomed visitors to our stand for live demonstrations of our test equipment, cable assemblies and the DOS Data Centre Cabling System. Many of the discussions focused on high-density cabling and how to plan infrastructure that can keep up with fast-growing networks.

On the second day, our representative Vincent Reed gave a presentation in the Canyon Ballroom titled “Fiber Optic & Hybrid Cable Solutions: Testing, Connectivity & Reliability”. He focused on the DOS Data Centre Cabling System and on the rapid scaling of the data centre industry, a trend that is clearly here to stay. We were glad to see such interest in the topic, and the questions afterwards carried on well after the session ended.

What we value most about events like CABLEXX is the chance to meet people face to face. It was great to meet new industry professionals and customers, and just as good to catch up in person with partners we have worked with for years.
